Dr. Rita McConnell
I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I knew at a young age that I would pursue my own health in a more holistic way as a large part of the first six years of my life was spent in the hospital. Due to that experience I have had a desire to work with children especially. In 1979 I moved to the United States and settled in Colorado. After some soul searching I decided becoming a Chiropractor would allow me to help children and adults gain and maintain health more naturally.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Metro State University in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in April, 2005 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In order to help more children I furthered my chiropractic education in pediatrics and received the certification in chiropractic pediatrics (CACCP) through the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. I am also Webster Technique certified which is a specific sacral adjustment used to improve pelvic neurobiomechanical function in the pregnant patient. I am a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Teaching my patients the benefits of sound nutrition, exercise and mindfulness-based practices is another passion of mine.
In my spare time I enjoy yoga, meditation, hiking, reading, cooking and being in nature.
